Dear Campus Camera System Users,
We are pleased to report that the migration of UC Riverside’s campus camera
system from ONSSI to Genetec is now successfully completed. Please read
important information below on installing, logging into, and utilizing
Genetec. Please make sure to follow the required actions to ensure
uninterrupted access to the new camera system.
Account Porting and Software Installation
-
Your Account Status: If you logged into the camera system within the
past two months, your account permissions have already been automatically
ported over from ONSSI to Genetec. Note: If you have not logged in
within the last two months, you will need to request access by submitting
an IT ticket

.
-
ITS-Managed Devices: If you use a computer managed by ITS and are either
connected to the VPN or the campus network, the Genetec Security Desk
application may have already been remotely installed on your machine. You
may verify this by searching for “Genetec Security Desk” on your Windows
device’s Search bar.
-
Non-Managed, Remote, and Mac Devices: If you are not using an
ITS-managed device, if you were disconnected from the campus network or VPN
during the migration, or if you are using a Mac device, the software is
not automatically installed. Please refer to the instructions below to
manually install the Genetec Security Desk application on your device. Note:
This is only applicable to Windows users. Please see instructions below for
Mac users.
