This change supports the upcoming migration of campus VPNs to SAML for Duo multifactor authentication, which will take place on May 17, 2026. What to Expect From the VPN Migration - Prior to May 17, ITS Admin VPN users will need to update their Cisco Secure Access (Anyconnect) VPN portal from vpn.ucr.edu to vpn.ucr.edu/adminvpn to use the ?netid-admin? elevated access. This is required because the SAML integration for Duo does not currently sync netid-admin accounts. You will see ?VPN_AdminVPN_Profile? returned when your client successfully authenticates.
