This is a reminder that the alumni storage limit of 10.00 GB was applied to
your R’Mail account, which includes Email, Calendar, Drive, Photos, etc.,
365 days after your graduation / degree conferment date. As such, alumni
R’Mail accounts that exceed the 10.00 GB limit will not be able to add or
edit data. Your Google Workspace storage usage is currently close to or
over 10.00 GB. There is a 30-day grace period during which you may export
any files, folders, email attachments, or pictures you wish to keep.

Starting July 11, 2025, UCR will perform a reset on all alumni R’Mail
accounts that are over the 10.00 GB storage limit. If your R’Mail account
is reset, all data stored within your account will be irrevocably deleted.
This data includes Email, Drive, Calendar, Photos, and other Google
Workspace tools, as well as any customized settings. It is critical to note
that there is no way to recover the data once it’s been deleted and, as a
result, UCR ITS will not be able to assist you with this matter.

Because your Google Workspace storage usage is currently close to or over
10.00 GB, you must reduce your storage use or risk losing your data. Please
utilize the resources below to manage your UCR data storage:

   View your current storage usage <https://drive.google.com/drive/quota>.
   If you have already reduced your storage usage to below 10.00 GB, you may
   disregard this reminder.

   Set up email forwarding
   <https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en#zippy=%2Cturn-automatic-forwarding-on-or-off>
   to help ensure you do not exceed the storage limit in the future.

   Use Google Takeout to export your data from your UCR Google account

   It is important to note that the time it takes to export data is based on
   the size of the data being exported, so please plan accordingly if you have
   a large amount of data.

   Transfer ownership of files/folders

   containing UCR data (especially research data) to an individual with an

   managed by individuals with active university roles.
