[Campus Notice] Your UCR R’Mail Account Will Be Deleted on September 9, 2024

Good afternoon,
We are writing to inform you that your UCR R’Mail (Google) account will be
deleted on September 9, 2024. This change is taking place as part of
the storage
reclamation process

UCR must undergo to comply with Google’s newly imposed storage restrictions
for higher education.
Your R’Mail account includes Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Photos, and associated
services, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). All account data—including
emails, attachments, files, documents, photos, GCP projects, etc.—will
be permanently
deleted upon account deletion.
You are encouraged to back up any data or emails that you wish to retain
prior to the deletion of your UCR R’Mail account, which will take place on
September 9, 2024. Please refer to this Knowledge Base article

Takeout. If you are storing UCR data (especially research data), please
transfer ownership of these files/folders to an individual with an active
University role (e.g., a faculty or staff member). Alternatively, move
collaborative files/folders to a shared Google Drive managed by individuals
