[Campus Notice] New Identity and Access Management Solution Deploying Spring 2023

Highlander Community,



The deployment of IAMRiverside, an identity and access management solution
that will greatly improve UC Riverside’s security posture and streamline
the user account lifecycle, is scheduled for spring 2023.



Thanks to UC Riverside’s recent investment in information technology, UCR
Information Technology Solutions is pleased to formally introduce
IAMRiverside, an identity and access management enterprise solution.
Implementation of IAMRiverside will effectively lay the new structural
foundation that supports the campus’ identity lifecycle management. These
structural and technological changes will be largely imperceptible to most
campus users, with the exception of a new and improved central user
interface and similar or simplified business processes.



Once fully configured, IAMRiverside will simplify account creation and
permissions management across campus systems, expediting processes such as
student registration and employee onboarding. Perhaps most importantly,
IAMRiverside will provide the framework needed to modernize and standardize
the University’s level of security, resulting in greater protection of
student, faculty, and staff data.
