[Tech-bulletin] REMINDER: Student Software Catalog

[UCR Information Technology Solutions]

Dear Department Chairs, 

 

In Fall UCR Information Technology Solutions (ITS) announced

>  the new Student Software Catalog. 

 

The Software Catalog
<https://ucrsupport.service-now.com/ucr_portal/?id=sc_category&catalog_id=3a
53ea7e1b691c10eab58734ec4bcba0> , now conveniently located within the
ServiceLink portal <http://servicelink.ucr.edu/> , allows students to log in
with their UCR NetID, browse available software, and request to download
with the click of a button. As long as the student is enrolled in a current
or upcoming UCR course, they will automatically receive access to the
software installation package or license key.

 

This catalog automates the software request process and replaces the old My
Software process. Students attempting to access mysoftware.ucr.edu will be
redirected to the new catalog.

 

ITS kindly requests that you encourage faculty to direct students to the new
catalog to facilitate quick and easy access to instructional software.
