Cal Poly Pomona is honored to host the 35th Annual California State
University Student Research Competition (CSU SRC
<https://www.cpp.edu/cppsrc/csu-src/index.shtml>) on Friday, April 30th and
Saturday, May 1, 2021. The event will be held virtually and take place over
Zoom. This systemwide competition showcases the innovative research and
creative activities of CSU undergraduate and graduate students in the full
range of academic programs offered by the CSU.

We are currently in the process of securing judges and moderators for our
various sessions, and we are hoping you will consider serving as a judge or
a moderator!

There are 10 broad disciplinary categories:

   - Behavioral, Social Sciences, and Public Administration
   - Biological and Agricultural Sciences
   - Business, Economics, and Education
   - Creative Arts and Design
   - Education
   - Engineering and Computer Science
   - Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences
   - Humanities and Letters
   - Physical and Mathematical Sciences
   - Interdisciplinary

We are seeking knowledgeable graduate students and post-doc fellows to
server as jurors. Jurors will be asked to review a 5-page research summary
for each presenter in their assigned session, listen to the 8-minute oral
presentations during the session, and work with other jurors to select
first and second place winners. There will be between 7-10 presentations
per session. Because the event will take place over Zoom, jurors need to
have access to a stable internet connection during the event. Jurors will
receive a $150 stipend.

Moderators will keep presentation sessions organized by introducing student
speakers and keeping time during each presentation. You do not need prior
experience moderating presentations. Each session will be between 2-3 hours
long. Because the event will take place over Zoom, moderators need to have
access to a stable internet connection during the event. Moderators will
receive a $75 stipend.
Event Dates and Times:

   - Friday, April 30, 2021 from 11:30am to 5:00pm
   - Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9:00am to 5:00pm

If interested, please submit a CSU Student Research Competition
Judge/Moderator Interest Form, link below. We will be in contact with you
regarding session availability and times.

Contact the Office of Undergraduate Research at Cal Poly Pomona with any
questions about this opportunity to be a juror or moderator for the
competition at cppsrc at cpp.edu.
