The surveyors will be onsite all day on Thursday and for a half day on Friday, concluding around noon. Our primary goal during this survey is to showcase our ongoing commitment to high-quality patient care. *Conduct and Expectations*Please maintain a professional and focused demeanor throughout the survey. If you are approached by a surveyor, remember to be respectful and center your responses on our clinical standards and procedures. If you have any concerns or feedback regarding internal processes, not related to the surveyors' questions, please save those for a later time, so we can remain fully focused on the survey itself. When in doubt, always refer to the policy or manufacturers manual. As a reminder if you step away from your workspace at any time, please ensure that you lock your computer screens. This is a critical compliance issue regarding security and data access that must be adhered to at all times. *Preparation*To help us prepare, please take the following steps: - Review our policies, especially those specific to your role. You can find the policies here: Policies and Procedures . If you do not have access to this folder please email Ariana ( armartin at ucr.edu) and she will grant you access. - Ensure your work area, exam rooms, and storage areas are clean, organized, and free of any hazards or expired supplies. Please remove any personal items from exam rooms, patient care areas, and/or the biohazard rooms, including the one that is not currently an active biohazard room. Because it is labeled as such the surveyors will assume it is one. - Be ready to answer questions honestly. If you are unsure of an answer, it is completely okay to say, "I'm not certain, but I know where to find that information in our policy or manufacturer's manual," and then demonstrate how to locate it. *Final Summation Attendance*All staff are encouraged to attend the final summation, which will take place around 12:00 PM on Friday. Please coordinate with your supervisor ahead of time to ensure that our clinical operations remain fully covered. Thank you all for your hard work and continued dedication to our organization. If you have any questions or concerns leading up to the survey, please feel free to direct them to leadership.
