[Shcw-announcements] Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week: November 13-17

Hello HW&S Team,

I would like to bring your attention to an important week of events that we can participate in and contribute to as a division. It's Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, which is a time to unite and raise awareness about the critical issues of hunger and homelessness in our community and on our campus.

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week<https://hhweek.org/> is an annual event that takes place in the week before Thanksgiving, from November 13-17. The Basic Needs Department has coordinated a series of events for each day of the week to not only educate us about these pressing issues, but also allow us to spread awareness here on campus.

Each department will be receiving a box of ribbons for everyone to wear during the week to show your support!

There will also be a food drive [competition] held throughout this week! This is a collaborative partnership between the Health, Well- being & Safety Staff Engagement Committee and Basic Needs Department.

Basic Needs will be delivering a donation collection box with the attached flyer to capture staff/unit donations at each HW&S Department. Please be sure to scan the QR code upon placing your donation in the box, this will help us determine the winning unit!
