[Shcw-announcements] Memorial Day Flag Planting - 5/27 8am-10am Hinderaker Lawn/Flag Pole

Good Morning Everyone!

This weekend we observe Memorial Day. While we are all excited for a three-day weekend, we ask you to remember the importance of the day. We ask you to please take a moment to remember why we're getting a three-day weekend. With that in mind, we'd like to remind you of the annual flag-planting ceremony that will be on Friday, May 27th from 8am-10am. Here is how you can be a part of it.

Between 8am and 10am, the Staff from the Veterans Resource Center will be planting of US flags near the large flagpole near Lot 1 at the Hinderaker Lawn. You can stop for just a moment and place one (or more) flags on your way to work to acknowledge those who have fallen.

There will also be donuts!

We'd also appreciate you coming out to the flags at 3pm for a moment of silence before we take the display down. Help at the end of the day between 3pm-4pm is always appreciated as we take these flags down and store them.

You're more than welcome to join us at either (or both) times! Hopefully we'll see some of you then!
