I wanted to share that my colleague Sandy and I are organizing the second annual Archives Fair at UCR as part of American Archives Month this October. The event will be
on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 located under the Rivera Library arches. The goal of the Archives Fair is to raise awareness of local archives and special collections across the Inland Empire and we have invited partner institutions
from across the IE to join us and share information about their collections. Last year we had a number of students do poster presentations as part of the event to share the research they have done using archives. It was a great experience and we hope
to build on that this year.

Based on the success last year, we are expanding this year's offerings to include tours of our reading room, and a guest brownbag speaker (more details soon, please see attached schedule).
The fair is open to the general public and registration for complimentary parking will be available closer to the date.

Please feel free to share this flyer/email widely with anyone who may be interested! We will provide a complimentary lunch and a poster printing waiver for eligible students. In addition, graduate students are encouraged to
bring their sections to the Archives Fair to learn about local archives and resources.
