We seek a dynamic practitioner and thinker who can relate the historical and emerging issues of game design and interactive media to a liberal arts curriculum while supporting
radically interdisciplinary forms of inquiry. The position is open to any area of game design, development, and critical practice; we are particularly interested in candidates with innovative approaches to audio, haptics, and/or other sensory modalities, especially
as they intersect with issues of indigeneity, race, gender, sexuality, and disability.

collaborate with Cornell faculty members Jodi Byrd, Andrew Campana, Julia Chang, María Fernández, Roger Moseley, and Walker White, the CIVIC research fellows in Interactive Media and Games. The Post-MFA or Postdoctoral Associate will deliver at least one public
presentation of their research each year and will also teach two courses per year, which could include foundational as well as intermediate and advanced classes, to be determined in consultation with the CIVIC research fellows and relevant department chairs.
The Associate will also be invited to join the Cornell Media Studies collective, which runs a series of colloquia and fosters ways for faculty members from across the university to share materials and ideas (see https://mediastudies.as.cornell.edu for

to conduct fieldwork, research, and development elsewhere during the summer or winter breaks. Eligibility: Applicants must have received the MFA, PhD, or equivalent degree no earlier than January 1, 2020. Applicants who will complete all requirements for the
MFA or PhD degree before August 2023 are also eligible to apply. This completion date for the degree will under no circumstances be waived or extended. Applications: Applications must be submitted through Academic Jobs Online. Please submit (1) a letter of
interest; (2) a CV; (3) a teaching philosophy and short descriptions (ca. 100 words) of two proposed courses; (4) a brief statement of artistic/critical orientation; (5) a statement of contribution to diversity, equity, and inclusion (see https://facultydevelopment.cornell.edu/information-for-faculty-candidates/ for

are to receive full consideration. Please limit application materials to those requested above; short-listed candidates may be asked to provide additional information. Questions about the position or the application process should be addressed to Roger Moseley
