global cinema, experimental film and media, documentary, and animation<span style="margin:0px;color:black">. The minor in film studies is one of the most popular on campus. Our science fiction studies curriculum includes science fiction literature, science
fiction film and television, Afrofuturism, environmentalism and ecocriticism, and a variety of courses on science, technology and ideology/race/gender/postcolonialism. The School has a 17,000-item science fiction collection, a Sci Fi Lab, and also offers a
science fiction minor. Both film and science fiction studies regularly host events connecting members of the Georgia Tech community with their popular counterparts. Atlanta is home to a vibrant film community including Trilith Studios, Tyler Perry Studios,
and the Atlanta Film Festival. It is also a local, national, and global center for major science fiction events including DragonCon and the Atlanta Sci Fi Film Festival.</span></span></span></p>
