We in the Science Fiction Research Association Executive Committee are 
calling for graduate students who are researching speculative 
fiction/media, to apply for our Support of New Scholar Award.

Deadline is *Nov. 20* *(Wednesday) 2024* for the 2025-'26 award which 
involves a free SFRA membership for those two years.

Below please find the announcement; attached is the Word document including 
guidelines and the application form.

Dear SFRA community,

We are pleased to post a call for Fall 2024 applications for Track A 
(graduate student) of the *SFRA Support a New Scholar Program* (SNS), for 
our membership years 2025-2026.

The SNS program supports advanced students and scholars of outstanding 
promise to assist them in taking part as active members of the science 
fiction community. In alternating years, this excellence-based grant is 
aimed to help fund one graduate student (Track A) and one non-tenure-track 
scholar (with a Ph.D.; Track B) for a period of two years, covering SFRA 
membership costs.

Please find in the attached PDF eligibility criteria, an application form, 
and information on other requested materials for this year’s track.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: November 20, 2024
