[Sfts-students] plans for Fall quarter and looking ahead

Hello SFCS students,

Thanks to those of you able to attend the meeting today, and my apologies
for not sending out the link earlier in the week.

We discussed what we might like to do this quarter and came up with the
following:

1. have an in-person gathering for socializing and
acquaintance/reacquaintance; I've tentatively book INTS 1111 for October 19
from 5-6:30 pm. If our booking is approved I'll confirm and order some
food. We are required to wear masks, we have to book a room for which we
will be only 50% capacity, and everyone will need to show their cleared to
campus email to gain access; more soon

2. to have one more virtual guest speaker, preferable a creative writer;
please send me your suggests of people you'd like to engage and I will
circulate the list for us to rank

3. to do an informal book club reading of a comic book; please send
suggestions for that to Dr. carrington

4. to pursue the option of renting a theatre venue in January for a
community screening of the new Matrix film
