Hi all,

Is anyone interested in being the student support for the SFTS book prize
committee? The job is basically writing to publishers to request books for
the prize be sent to the committee. There are some templates to use, so
most of the time is spent keeping track of requests and their fulfilment.
There is also some research of book lists from publishers to see if there
are any new books that are eligible to be so requested.

There are usually 20-25 books per year that the committee reads for the
prize (the student worker doesn't have to read these, just request them).

The pay is $250, and my estimate is that this should be about $20-25 /hour,
although the time is spread out between now and February or March , when
all the requests should have been fulfilled, and is paid as a flat fee then.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

cheers,
Sherryl
