No major acquisitions to announce from last month?but I will be attending Rare Books LA in October, so will hopefully have some juicy finds to report after that. - *Worldcon *(August 27th-31st) was an absolute blast! I curated an exhibit of objects from our Jay Kay Klein photographs in the exhibit room, and presented with colleagues from the Huntington Library and Cal State Fullerton to promote science fiction collections in Southern California. - Speaking of the Huntington: thanks to everyone who came to *Reading Octavia E. Butler's 'Lost' Novel* at the Huntington on September 2nd, where I had the pleasure of moderating an excellent discussion between USC's Alaina Morgan and CSUN's Alyssa Collins about Butler's recently republished novel, *Survivor*. Finally, please do share the following publication opportunities/CfPs: - The next issue of *Vector: the Journal of the British Science Fiction Association* will be themed around the concept of 'Play,' enfolding video games/TTRPGs/game industry labor practices, VR/AR, and other related topics.
