Dear all,

I blinked and another month passed. What's happening!?

Anyway, there's lots of news this month, so let's get right into it.

I'm very pleased to share that we now have a Ruby 10 text-to-speech video
magnifier <https://shop.vispero.com/products/ruby10?variant=42114780725457>
available for
use to all researchers in the reading room! I'm happy to give an in-person
demo to anyone interested in using it to access Special Collections
materials.

I attended *Rare Books Pasadena* this past weekend (it sold out!), and
picked up the following new additions for the Eaton Collection:


   - Sheila O'Malley & Guillermo Del Toro, *The Art and Making of
   Frankenstein: Artifact Edition* (2025). This gorgeous,
   limited mini-archive includes 'The Art and Making of Frankenstein' (2025,
   Netflix), a bookplate signed and numbered by Del Toro, a prop-replica
   portfolio reproducing 21 sketches features in the film, a custom art print,
   a facsimile reproduction of Victor Frankenstein's notebook - and a statue
   of the Dark Angel from the film. I cannot WAIT for this one to arrive; look
   out for it on our @Eatonverse Instagram account!



   - Robert McCammon, '*Original Typescript for Nightcrawlers*,' (c. 1984)
   accompanied by a typed letter of provenance. The short story
   'Nightcrawlers' was first published in the anthology Masques (1984), and
   was adapted for 'The Twilight Zone' in 1985.



   - - Douglas Menville, '*Douglas Menville Writing Archive*' (c. 1964).
   Adding to our Douglas Menville Papers
   <https://oac.cdlib.org/findaid/ark:/13030/c8cz3d88/>, this collection
   includes a script for a 1964 radio drama adaptation of Ray Bradbury's 'The
   Sound of Thunder,' and a layout copy of *Forgotten Fantasy*: a magazine
   edited by Menville from 1970-1971.


In other news, I'm really pleased to share that we have digitized and
uploaded another (approx.) 2000 images to the Klein photographs and papers
<https://calisphere.org/collections/26943/>! We made the announcement to
the SF community, and are again inviting feedback in helping to identify
people.

Finally, a huge 'thank you' to everyone who attended the Laila Lalami event
on Feb. 17th! We had a great turnout of about 28 people. Look out for more
events in the future!
