Dear all,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
The end of the year is in sight, and as we wrap up the quarter I hope you
get the chance to reflect on the passing year, and look forward to what
2026 will bring.
Speaking of that: if you haven't already, make sure to register for the
2026 *virtual Eaton Symposium*
<https://events.ucr.edu/event/2026-virtual-eaton-symposium>*,* taking
place January 8th, featuring a keynote conversation with Ken Liu and
presentations from local curators and scholars. There is a *lot* going on
in the SF world in 2026, and we'll be talking about some of the cool stuff
happening!
In terms of recent acquisitions, we received the latest issues of
*Rowrbrazzle*, as well as:
- *"Robert A. Heinlein's Cold War Manifesto/the origins of 'Starship
Troopers." *A very rare broadside reprinting a libertarian polemic Heinlein
first published in the *Colorado Springs Gazette-Telegraph* on Saturday, 12
April 1958.
There are also some very exciting archives in the works, which I can
hopefully talk about in the new year.
I'll send one more quick note later in the month, but otherwise: wishing
you clear inboxes, delicious food, and good cheer as we go into the
holidays.
Warmth and light,
Phoenix
*Recommended book of the month:* Ken Liu, *All That We See or Seem *(2025)
