following announcement to faculty and graduate students of the Departments
of English and Media & Cultural Studies? Please feel free to share with

Dear colleagues,
Please be aware that starting *June 17, 2024*, UCR Special Collections &
University Archives (SCUA) will require appointments to view materials in
our reading room. This is temporary as we anticipate having some
construction during the summer (and potentially into the fall quarter).

We kindly ask that requests for materials be made *7 days in advance* and
reading room appointments be made *14 days in advance*.

If you anticipate any issues or scheduling conflicts, please don't hesitate
to contact us at specialcollections at ucr.edu or 951-827-3233.

We are committed to supporting UCR faculty, students, and community members
throughout this process and we wish to assist you as much as possible. To
