We are especially looking for students who are passionate about mental health, wellbeing, and advancing student success across the University of California.<br><br>Ideal candidates are students pursuing or interested in pursuing careers in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, higher education, behavioral health, healthcare administration, public policy, or other wellbeing-related fields. Students interested in direct care services, clinical or non-clinical wellbeing roles, policy development, leadership, administration, research, or systems change are strongly encouraged to apply. Individuals with lived experience, leadership experience, or a demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing are also encouraged to participate.<br><br>Student representatives are expected to take an active role on the committee by contributing thoughtfully to discussions, engaging with committee initiatives, and bringing a proactive, collaborative, and leadership-oriented mindset to support systemwide student mental health and wellbeing efforts.<br><br><u>Roles and Responsibilities</u><o:p></o:p></div><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;"><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Provide guidance and recommendations on systemwide coordination of student mental health and wellbeing initiatives, including policies, programs, and best practices that promote equity and improve student outcomes from undergraduate and graduate student perspectives.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Collaborate with campus behavioral health leaders, student affairs professionals, researchers, faculty, and UC Office of the President staff on systemwide initiatives and data-informed recommendations.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Share student perspectives and provide recommendations on emerging issues, priorities, and opportunities impacting student mental health and wellbeing across the UC system.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Attend quarterly committee meetings (virtual and occasional in-person) and actively participate in committee discussions and workgroups, as appropriate.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 12pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Serve as a liaison between the committee and the broader student community by providing updates, sharing feedback, and helping elevate student voices.<o:p></o:p></li></ul><div style="margin: 0in; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;"><u>Time Commitment</u><br>The anticipated time commitment is approximately 1–2 hours per month, including quarterly meetings and occasional committee-related activities.
