As I mentioned at the Department Meeting, I am creating a repository for upper-division SEHE course projects so that students who take the capstone course can build on one of the assignments they completed in the past. Whoever is teaching SEHE193 that year (me) should send out this survey form at the end of each preceding quarter to collect information on projects that students completed for our colleagues' courses. <b>If you taught a SEHE upper-division course this quarter </b>(and last year, if you can remember)<b>, please fill out the survey below. </b>If I should send this form to any other instructors, please let me know, or forward it to them. </div><div>My resposes for SEHE105 can be seen here: <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vho8DUElqsJc0WxX8Q53uaW9bvhEKQ3kxBQo1IUvQuU/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">Response Example</a></div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://forms.gle/ef16wpFeh1fk6Q3p9" target="_blank">Course Project Survey Form</a> <u>(</u>For all colleagues who taught (or are teaching) a SEHE upper-division course)</div><div><br></div><div>2. I have created a community Canvas site called SEHE_Course_Assignment_Repository. (You should have received invitations) It is mainly for sharing assignments that are meant to be consistent across classes. I shared my Professional Development Assignments for SEHE105, 106, and 110, as well as the Lifestyle Change Project for SEHE001. Instructors for these classes can copy the assignments into their own course Canvas site and use them withs mall modifications such as changing the due dates and the TA's names. If you have assignments you think can be communal, feel free to copy them into the site as well. </div><div><br></div><div>The SEHE105, 106, & 110 assignments cover the third-year career development for SEHE majors. It includes creating an ePortolio from the template, writing the about me page, Career Center's Searching for Jobs video, an assignment searching for jobs, writing the experience they want to get on the ePortfolio Experience page, Career Center Networking Video, an assignment searching UCR alum LinkedIn page for interesting people to network with, developing an informational interview script for one of them, setting up a LinkedIn Profile, and uploading the course project to the ePortfolio research page. The assignments were spread out over the quarter; they were not graded (complete/incomplete) and counted for 25% of the final grade. I have to say that <b>students loved</b> doing these assignments. So please use them if you are teaching 105, 106, or 110. Don't reinvent the wheel.</div><div><br></div><div>The Lifestyle Change Project worked out well among SEHE001 students, and most said they will continue incorporating sustainable options into their lifestyles. The person who started this assignment is René Beccera, who taught in Summer 24. I modified it and used it twice in Spring and Fall 25. Please let any lecturers for SEHE001 know that they are welcome to use the same assignment if they wish. </div><div><br></div><div>Sorry about the long email.</div><div><br></div><div>Chikako</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div>
