Here's <span>Cynthia</span>'s bio:</div><div><br></div><div><i><span>Cynthia</span> <span>Huerta</span> is a Mexican-American Multidisciplinary Community Artist, Curator, and Advocate has been servicing Southern California's communities for over 18 years.<br>Her mediums include: painting, watercolor, muraling, sculpture, drawing printmaking, mosaic and pyrography. She has partnered with UCR School of Medicine, Cal State San Bernardino, UCR Undocumented Student Programs, Teaching Residents at Teachers Collage though Columbia University, Google, Success in Motion and many more. Her personal and public art always centers the BIPOC community.<br>Whether that entails creating with community, curating shows featuring BIPOCC artist, or organizing events and art workshops that provide a reprieve and joy.</i></div><div><br></div><div><div>The workshop is funded through our NEH Humanities Connections grant.</div><div>This is going to be super fun and insightful and I hope that you can make it!</div></div><div><br></div><div>On the same wavelength, SEHE is co-sponsoring a workshop on visual storytelling by filmmaker Ora DeKornfeld this <b>Friday 2/28, 2-5pm (INTS 1109)</b>. Over three hours, participants will learn to uncover meaningful stories by building authentic connections, following their curiosity, and mastering the art of asking creative questions. We'll begin by exploring the elements of compelling stories, then delve into the subtle art of question-crafting. From there, we'll move into practical interview techniques and preparation, culminating in hands-on practice where participants can apply these skills in real time.
