Good morning,
Faculty members of the campus Sustainability Minor are leading an
initiative to create a campus-wide undergraduate Sustainability Minor to be
administered in the Division of Undergraduate Education. We envision a
minor that would complement majors offered by every college/school and
contribute to UC Riverside's goal of ensuring every graduate has an
opportunity to engage with sustainability content, plus raise our
international profile for sustainability in academics.
We'd like to have participation from every college and school. Are you
interested in participating on the committee to establish a campus-wise
sustainability minor? The time commitment will be modest: following an
organizational meeting, we plan to meet monthly until the proposal for the
minor is ready for submission.
On behalf of faculty members of the Sustainability Committee, I
appreciate your consideration. Let me know via response or direct email
to: juliann at ucr.edu if you have any questions and/or are interested in
participating.
Best wishes,
Juliann
