Hi All,
GRID Alternatives is a great organization, and we have alumni who have
worked for the local branch in the IE.
I particularly like this project, and thought maybe some of you would like
to contribute or spread the word.
Thanks,
Chikako

Dear Friends,
For families in Totumblita, access to perishable goods is more than just a
matter of convenience, it’s a matter of health. Without refrigeration,
staple foods like cheese, eggs, fresh fruits, and vegetables spoil quickly
in the Nicaraguan heat. Right now, community members must travel nearly 2
miles on foot or by mule to the nearest town to buy these essentials. That
distance makes it harder for families to maintain a balanced diet and puts
an extra strain on their limited time and resources.
Our International team is fundraising for a solar-powered refrigerator in
Joaquín and Zeneida’s community store. Totumblita families could finally
buy fresh, healthy foods right in their own community. It’s a simple
solution with a powerful impact, making fresh food accessible while
reducing the risks of malnutrition and food insecurity.
Your support makes this possible! By contributing to this campaign you’re
helping bring healthier meals, less travel, and more time for families to
spend together.
We've reached one-third of our $5,000 goal, and with your support we can
get the rest of the way. Every dollar helps GRID make this a reality!
Thank you.
