[Sehefac] R'Garden faculty petition

Dear SEHE friends,
As many of you know, the R'Garden referendum earlier this month failed to
gain enough votes. Although 70% of student voters approved the referendum,
it did not meet the bar of 20% participation (17% participated).
Campaigners for the referendum apparently were limited by the new
restrictions on political expression on campus.
The R'Garden director is currently funded by the Basic Needs Department,
which is ending funding on July 1. Barring support from the campus Deans
and Provost, the garden will close after over a decade of operations.

can, please speak with your Dean about providing one year of bridge support
for the garden, until a second referendum can happen next Spring.
