Several of us are planning to join the rally at the UCR Belltower on April
8, 12-1pm, in support of the National Day of Action to Save Research,

Higher education and critical research are under attack. The Trump
administration and Republicans in congress are attempting to eliminate
billions of dollars in critical federal research funding to advance their
extreme agenda and finance tax breaks for the wealthy. Gavin Newsom and the
California state legislature are considering an 8% budget cut to UC and CSU
rather than investing in our students. And UC Administrators are
threatening layoffs and hiring freezes while refusing to stand up for
workers, public research, and higher education.
On Tuesday, April 8th, UC academic workers are joining higher education
workers across the country to stand up and demand NO cuts to education and
