Dear SEHE faculty affiliates,

Just forwarding this call for presentations (which can be for works in
progress) for the upcoming California Sociological Association meeting on
Nov 1-2 in Pomona (see message below for more info).

How does this relate to SEHE? The keynote address will be from Dr. Camila
Alvarez from UC San Diego and her talk will focus on environmental justice
issues! For more info on Dr. Alvarez, see:

You do not have to be a sociologist to participate in the CSA conference.
Many participants are from across the disciplines and/or are applied
researchers interested in social issues. All you need for the conference
submission is "the title of your talk, an abstract if available, your name
and your university/college/affiliation." Deadline for both submissions and
conference registration is due by 10/15.

This is a really nice and friendly small conference where both faculty and
students (including undergraduates) are welcome to share their research,
including works in progress. The membership and conference fees are also
very reasonable. For student presenters it is a combined cost of $44. There
is also a special one-day $10 rate for student observers who are not
presenting.
