Dear Colleagues,
See the flyer below for a talk by Comic Artist Li-Chin Lin on Indigeneity,
Environment and Language Revitalization in her 2011 graphic novel, *Fudafudak:
The Place that Glitters (L’endroit qui scintille* in the original French),
(and please disregard any prior time you heard we had to change it so the
talk could take place in the CPLT Conference Room).
Note that we do not have plans for hybrid at this point, so please do come
in person - we will offer collegiality, conviviality and at least
coffee/snacks.
I am also attaching a link to the Cà et là Press web page
https://www.caetla.fr/FudaFudak where you will see a link to an excerpt
(first chapter) of the graphic novel in English (the work was written in
French… along with a little bit of the indigenous Taiwanese Amis language,
and a tiny bit of Mandarin and Japanese - but it has not yet been
translated into English in its entirety)
Thanks for your support. Please spread the word - to colleagues and
students,
best,
Michelle
