*PROGRAM DESCRIPTION*

The Student Leaders for Sustainability is a cross-border educational
program organized by the UC Riverside Undocumented Student Programs, UC
Riverside Education Abroad, UCR Office of Sustainability, and UC Alianza
MX. This initiative aims to provide UCR students with the academic
opportunity to examine sustainable practices across the United States and
Mexico. By engaging across borders, students will gain a deep understanding
of the three pillars of sustainability-- environment, economy, and social.
There are two parts to this program: Student Leadership Institute for
Sustainability and Independent Field Research.



Open to all majors! Open to undergraduates and graduate students!



*Student Leadership Institute for Sustainability*

June 24th, 2024 - June 28th, 2024 (All four days are mandatory)

This four-day educational immersion program provides UCR students with the
academic opportunity to examine sustainability in Baja California, Mexico.
By engaging across borders, the program aims to promote a deep
understanding of the three pillars of sustainability-- environment,
economy, and social. This program includes in-class activities, seminars,
and field trips.



The program will cover and arrange the following for the program (June 24th
to June 28th):

   - Hotel (doubles)
   - In-class activities, seminars, and field trips
   - Charter bus transportation to and from UCR and Ensenada if traveling
   with the group
   - Some meals
