Hello Staff Assembly!

I’m sending out a special invite for an African Student Programs special
book talk event that we are hosting here at UC Riverside during Black
History Month.  The authors (Dr. Lawson Bush, Dr. Edward Bush, and Dr.
Amiri Mahnzili) will be discussing their recently released book - *Sankofa
(Re)Search Model: (Re)membering, (Re)storing, and (Re)birthing Black Boys
and Men.  *This book offers a practical and conceptual guide for developing
culturally grounded methodologies to study Black boys and men. This event
is open to all, and the details of the event are below.



*Date – Thursday, February 12, 2026*

*Time – 6pm to 8pm*

*Location – UC Riverside (Student Services Building)*

*Light Refreshments served.*

*This event is completely free with complimentary parking in Lot 1.*
