Thank Goodness for Staff Week was a blast! Hopefully, you were able to join us to Build-A-Scotty, play Bingo at the Barn, do Goat Yoga<https://insideucr.ucr.edu/stories/2022/05/03/campus-celebrates-staff-appreciation-goat-yoga?utm_source=Inside+UCR+Weekly+Test&utm_campaign=ca95c339a2-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2022_05_04_05_11&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_e039f36024-ca95c339a2-92866107>, enjoy coffee and donuts in front of Hinderaker, or compete virtually for prizes in Pictionary and Movie Trivia contests via Zoom.

Fellow staff member and Education Abroad Director LaSharon A. McLean Perez said it best: “It seemed super silly at first… a bunch of grown-ups stuffing a bear. After a rough few weeks, months, years… It was nice to have what I have called a mental health break.”


Spring quarter is about showing appreciation for our UCR staff, providing those mental health breaks, and giving you more ways to reconnect. On May 11th at noon in UCR’s Theatre, we’re excited to have our first in-person Quarterly General Meeting<https://events.ucr.edu/event/staff_assembly_general_meeting_8716> since fall 2019! We’ll be joined by Chancellor Kim Wilcox and Vice Chancellor Bryan Haynes to recognize and celebrate our staff receiving career milestones. There will be food, plenty of photo-ops, and possibly Scotty. (We’re also live-streaming it for folks working remotely.)

In partnership with UCR Wellness, all staff members will receive a free meal from the Carl’s Jr. food truck as we rock out to the totally tubular ’80s cover band The Breakfast Club.
