Spreading holiday cheer the Staff Assembly way

Staff Assembly and Basic Needs co-hosted our first Staff Pop-Up Pantry event on Nov. 18 and distributed more than 100 bags of mixed groceries and vegetables to UCR staff. A second pop-up pantry event is planned for Thurs., Dec. 9<https://events.ucr.edu/event/ucr_staff_pantry>, near the Pentland Hills residence hall. Food insecurity continues to be a significant issue in our community.  Staff Assembly is committed to working with UCR Basic Needs and the R’Pantry to support UCR staff.

Don’t forget to join Staff Assembly for our “Flannels & Frost” Holiday Party<https://events.ucr.edu/event/ucr_staff_assembly_holiday_party_flannels_frost_1437>, on Wed., Dec. 15, at the Barn. We’ll be giving away Staff Assembly mugs, hot cocoa, and holiday cookies, with a chance to play games and win prizes. We’re also collecting donations for R’Pantry, R’Kids, and R’Closet.

And lastly, I’d like to personally invite you to our Bingo Fundraiser<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ucr-staff-assembly-fall-virtual-bingo-night-tickets-190748402607> on Friday, Dec. 17. The two-hour virtual event will feature mini raffles and prizes throughout, hosted by Penni Ebina, our Director of Finance. It should be a fun night and all money raised will support Staff Assembly and UCR staff.
