Dear community,

The 2025-2026 Postdoc Association Executive Board Elections are approaching soon. To keep an active postdoc community on campus, we need dedicated individuals to serve on the board. Please consider nominating yourself or someone you believe would be a good fit.
Nominations are now open and will stay open until September 9th, 2024, at 11:55 PM. 

Open RPA positions:

- President (Executive Board)

- Vice-President (Executive Board)

- Treasurer (Executive Board)

- Secretary (Executive Board)

- Communications Director*

- Social Chair* 

- Graphic/Web Design Representative*

- Symposium Director and/or Advisor*

*not part of the Executive Board


Why become part of the RPA Board?
• This is your opportunity to contribute to the postdoc community and help ensure that the legacy and hard work of the past six years of the RPA continue.
• You will hold an elected official university position, demonstrating your willingness to serve beyond your academic responsibilities. This is especially valuable on CVs and during job interviews!
• You can contribute creatively in any area that could benefit the RPA. Are you skilled in website design or graphic design? Are you interested in organizing social events? Do you excel in numbers and finance management? Do you want the opportunity to connect with university deans and chancellors to shape the future of postdoctoral researchers on campus? There’s a role for everyone!
• All current board members are ready and willing to assist with the transition, so don’t worry if you lack relevant experience!

What is the time commitment for being on the board? Board meetings are held once or twice a month and last about 1 to 1.5 hours. Additional commitment depends on the role and the events you choose to organize.
