Re:  Postdoctoral Research Fellowship: 2026 Cohort

University of California Alianza MX (Alianza MX) is pleased to announce the 2026 Call for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://alianzamx.universityofcalifornia.edu/research-and-innovation/postdoctoral-research-fellowships/__;!!OLyWHuc!UtplwrPGY0b82u23F3WfLnDWscsmlEZOxWnNAm3_Ac42uVAYnFrW_3FQlzX0APtpCfIP4EaBTVSdCIu5B6axlvHfIWd3_xc$>.


The primary objective of this program is to advance collaboration between the UC and Mexico through the professional development and academic training of postdoctoral researchers, who will complete two-year in-person residencies at a UC campus, hosted by a UC principal investigator. During our pilot last year, we selected five (5) fellows for fellowships at three (3) UC campuses.


This year, Alianza MX will provide up to seven (7) fellowships that include a funding award to cover the Fellow’s salary for 12 months at Level 0 per the terms of the UC-UAW Agreement for Postdoctoral Scholars<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/resources/employment-policies-contracts/bargaining-units/postdoctoral-scholars/__;!!OLyWHuc!UtplwrPGY0b82u23F3WfLnDWscsmlEZOxWnNAm3_Ac42uVAYnFrW_3FQlzX0APtpCfIP4EaBTVSdCIu5B6axlvHf8zCZGow$>. The UC Host will be responsible for any additional financial support provided to the Fellow, including salary paid above Level 0 in the first 12 months, salary paid at any level beyond the first 12 months, and all benefits coverage during the residency, as well as any adjustments to financial support that take effect after the start date.



Applicants must have received their doctoral or terminal degrees from a Mexican institution of higher education or at the University of California, and their proposals should be relevant to US-Mexico research collaboration. They must also apply with a Letter of Invitation from a UC Host. Alianza MX will accept applications to the program until March 2, 2026.
