Hello Everyone!



With the 2025 PSBP open enrollment period fast approaching,  I have
attached a flyer with the Open Enrollment webinar dates and links, as well
as a comprehensive Open Enrollment guide. We would greatly appreciate it if
you can please send these out on your Postdoc list-serve.



In the spirit of embracing technology and the communication/education
efficiency that it provides, this year we will be testing out some
technological solutions we have had great success utilizing over the past
few years to deliver Open Enrollment content to campuses like UPENN, USC
and Northwestern. These solutions include live virtual presentations, video
recordings hosted on the PSBP website, and 1-on-1 virtual meetings.



The feedback we’ve gathered from postdocs and administrators since making
this shift has been overwhelmingly positive. The live virtual presentations
allow participants to join from a convenient location (individually or in a
group, if that is preferred) while still providing a live presence, the
recordings make the presentation content available on-demand (should a
postdoc want to revisit the info or share it with a spouse), and the 1-on-1
virtual meetings allow postdocs to have their specific questions answered
directly, without having to sift through the entire presentation for the
information they’re looking for.



We will be sending out a post-open enrollment email survey to the postdocs
to gauge their reception, and the survey will ask them to identify their
campus, so we should have a good idea of how the postdocs feel about these
new methods.  If our experience thus far is any indication, it should be a
hit, but if not we will certainly course correct!
