[RPA-PostDoc] Judges for Grad Slam!

Dear Postdocs,

I am reaching out to you to request your participation in a public speaking
competition for UCR graduate students. It is part of an annual UC-wide
competition called Grad Slam in which graduate students must describe their
creative project or research and its value in 3 minutes, with limited
visual aids, to a non-specialist audience.

To effectively assess these student presentations, we are putting together
a panel of judges with expertise across a range of subject areas. We would
be honored to have members of the Riverside Postdoc Association participate
as judges during our UCR Grad Slam Preliminary Round.

For the preliminary round of the Grad Slam competition, contestants will
submit a recorded video, and judges will view and evaluate them remotely
and asynchronously. We anticipate that each judge will evaluate 5-8
recorded videos, and then submit electronic score cards with feedback for
the contestants.

Preliminary Judging Timeline:

Jan 30: Students submit their recorded videos.

Feb 5-9: Judges have access to assigned recorded videos and electronic
scorecards via a shared google folder. Each judge will review 5-8
three-minute videos (depending on the number of submissions and judges).

Feb 9: Electronic scoring sheets due
