[Researchnews] International Travel Guidance from UCR's Export Control Office

U.S. export controls and economic sanction laws continue to evolve and vary
from country to country. U.S. export controls can also prohibit the export,
including the hand-carrying, of specific items, software, technology, and
providing services to certain countries, organizations, and individuals,
and for certain end uses for reasons of national security and foreign
policy.



As a standard practice, faculty and staff are asked to complete the
following webform prior to international travel so that the Export Control
Office can perform Restricted Party and Sanctions Screening for your
destination and provide you with an export licensing and risk assessment.

The above webform should be submitted as soon as travel plan are made
known, but no less than 10 days prior to departure, as the export license
processing can take several days or longer by the U.S. government should a
license be required for your travel destination.
