UC Research Initiatives in the UC Office of the President is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Proposals for the 2026 UC Multicampus-National Laboratory Collaborative Research and Training (CRT) Award<https://ucop.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ae4678f6e94927e764ad58e5&id=d46a9b61df&e=17a7e1eeca>.

This Request for Proposals<https://ucop.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ae4678f6e94927e764ad58e5&id=1c488696e3&e=17a7e1eeca> is intended to spur novel collaborations in topics of strategic scientific and national security importance in the critical area of Fusion Research.

The workshop report<https://ucop.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ae4678f6e94927e764ad58e5&id=e01f268ece&e=17a7e1eeca> from the December 2024 LFRP Workshop on Fusion Energy highlights some priorities for consideration in which UC-national lab collaborations can leverage the complementary strengths of UC and the national labs and advance the field. Applicants are required to refer to this report, regardless of attendance at the workshop.
 
The RFP includes:

  *   Program goals, guidelines, submission deadlines, and eligibility requirements

  *   Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  *   Instructions for submitting the required Letter of Intent 

 We will hold an applicant webinar (dates and registration below) and encourage all applicants to attend.
