Implementation of the 2024 NIH Public Access Policy
<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-25-047.html> took
effect on July 1, 2025.  In preparation of this delayed policy
implementation, a joint working group of representatives from UC libraries,
RPAC, and faculty developed guidance to assist UC authors with
understanding and complying with the policy changes.



The guidance is now available on the UC Office of Scholarly Communication
(OSC) website and is intended to support researchers across the system in
meeting the revised policy requirements. Please see: Guidance on the
