*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ***

Please be advised that UC Riverside has a new Facilities & Administrative (F&A) Cost Rates Agreement from the Department of Health and Human Services, dated 4/9/2024. This new agreement<https://research.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2024-04/ucr.7011.ra_.2023.pdf>, which replaces DHHS F&A Rate Agreement dated 7/7/2023, establishes the:

(i) indirect cost rates that are to be used on grants, contracts and other agreements for the period of July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2028; and

(ii) fringe benefits rates that are to be used on grants, contracts and other agreements for the period of July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.

Note: The indirect cost rates (aka F&A rates) did not change from those established in the previous agreement; rather, the same F&A cost rates have been approved for continued use through FY28. That said, some of the fringe benefit rates have changed for FY25 and are reflected on page 2 of the new agreement<https://research.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2024-04/ucr.7011.ra_.2023.pdf>.

A copy of the new DHHS Facilities Administrative Cost Rates Agreement, dated 4/9/2024, has been posted to the Sponsored Programs webpage<https://research.ucr.edu/spa/lifecycle/proposalpreparation/rates> and has been implemented in the proposal development module within Kuali Research. The Benefits<https://research.ucr.edu/spa/lifecycle/proposalpreparation/benefits> webpage on the Sponsored Programs website has also been updated to reflect the new Composite Benefits Rates, and such benefit rates have been configured in the proposal development module within Kuali Research.
