Our project (Greater LA Data Science Pathways : GLADS-PATH
<https://calearninglab.org/project/greater-la-data-science-pathways-glads-path/>)
was one of the CA Learning Lab Data Science Challenge awards.

One of our many initiatives is to create interdisciplinary data science
courses that will provide data science training for students in other
majors. Please fill-out this form if you are interested in developing an
undergraduate-level interdisciplinary data science course or revising a
current undergraduate-level course to incorporate data science training.

There are two options for the mini grant implementation:
*1 - (Full Implementation $5K Stipend) *

   - Full implementation requires either a new course proposal or updating
of an existing course to include DS topics or assignments that leverage
   data analysis.
   - Share new or updated course syllabus, assignments, lessons, modules
   with the GLADS-PATH team
   - (optional) Deploy survey to measure student interest in DS related
   courses, topics, career, etc.
   - Share course enrollment numbers for the first course offering

*2- (Partial Implementation $2.5K Stipend). *

   - Requires the integration of 1-2 lessons, modules or assignments in an
existing course with the goal of introducing students to Data Science.
   - Share assignments, lessons, modules that are developed with the
   GLADS-PATH team.
   - Share course enrollment numbers for the first offering that
   incorporates new material

We have faculty who will serve as technical advisors to assist with
integrating data science into your coursework, as well as stipends ($5000
for a new course; $2500 for a revised course).

Please reach out to Mariam Salloum (msalloum at cs.ucr.edu) and/or Analisa
Flores (analisa.flores at ucr.edu) for any questions.

Thank you,
