Our colleague Julie Simons, Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Applied Mathematics at UC Santa Cruz, will be closing out our AY2025-2026 seminar series with her talk entitled "<b>Data and reflections on genAI use in a gateway mathematics course</b>." I think this will be a fascinating talk on a topic that's on many of our minds as we consider how our students are navigating a drastically altered educational landscape in the age of readily available AI tools.</div><div><br></div><div>Whether this is your first TPN seminar or you've attended every other seminar on the calendar this year, I hope you'll consider joining us this Thursday to help make our closing seminar this year our biggest turnout yet! The Zoom link for this seminar is included here: <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://ucla.zoom.us/j/94757122326?pwd=CBtTgxgf0XZb2uE575BZd1WZuP5HCC.1__;!!CzAuKJ42GuquVTTmVmPViYEvSg!O5zmmMhwANESHmkorMeT-ju-6SKAKi6hZRBf0M4fM4DNEyGuNQC29ghcccfmV09okdnHgER0Y4tuJ7caZ8ts$" target="_blank">Zoom link</a>.</div><div><br></div><div><div>As always, please feel free to pass along this information to colleagues who might be interested in attending as well.
