There is an AI Community of Practice (CoP) for Teaching & Learning at UCR
and they'd like you to be part of it! The goal is to start a community
this Spring quarter as a collaboration between XCITE, faculty, and staff
across UCR with a clear structure focused on peer-to-peer learning and
practical application.
For the upcoming Spring quarter, the sessions will focus on demonstrations
from colleagues already integrating AI that faculty will have a chance to
try out during the session. The opportunity gives space for faculty to
benefit from dedicated, hands-on work time to apply these tools to their
own practice and see what others are doing across UCR so we can best
support each other and students in the changing educational landscape.
Spring Session Schedule
-
Session 1 (Tuesday, April 28th, 2-3pm): Exploring AI Tools *past but
recording will be available*
-
Session 2 (Monday, May 11, 9:30-10:30am): Using AI for Course Development
-
Session 3 (Wednesday, May 27, 9:30-10:30am): Supporting Student Literacy
Register today <https://forms.gle/ouiyHqrqU3XpstJ36> and please share with
colleagues that you think may be interested!
Zoom details will be shared upon your registration submission.
We hope to see you there!
