RE:  New Faculty Benefits

Please note that new faculty hired on July 1, 2008 have a "period on
initial eligibility" of 31 days to enroll in their benefits choices.  If
they do not enroll by July 31, 2008 they will default into the CORE
medical plan, Delta PPO and VSP for single coverage only.  Coverage will
be effective July 1, 2008.

They will also receive a second 31 day period of eligibility to enroll
on the day classes begin, September 25, 2008 and will end on October 26,
2008.  Coverage will be effective September 25, 2008.

Benefits Information:  Departments may order "Your Group Insurance
Plans" booklets and "Medical Benefits Summary:  2008" at the KP
Fulfillment House website at no charge.  Please call the Benefits Office
at 2-1425 if you need your department USER ID or Password.
