Re:                   Academic Range Adjustments and Salary Increases
(effective October 1, 2007)

 

The academic range adjustments and salary increases effective October 1,
2007 is nearly completed.  The Payroll Office implemented the final
payroll adjustments on Tuesday, November 13th.  The retro-active payment
of the pay increase for October, 2007 earnings will be included in
November paychecks (paid on November 30, 2007).

 

Due to the complexity of this year's academic pay increases, it is vital
that each organization closely review all of the increases provided to
academic employees beginning Wednesday, November 14th and make any
necessary adjustments before payroll roster cut-off of November 26th.  A
table that outlines the amount of the increases by academic category is
attached for you to use to confirm that those salaries have been
correctly increased.

 

Department and Program personnel should contact their Dean's Office if
they find a discrepancy between the current salary shown in PPS and what
they expected the salary would be.   Questions should be forwarded to
Academic Personnel and/or Payroll via the Dean's Office, as follows:

 

Questions regarding adjustments for academic employees whose salaries
were off-scale, above-scale or not in line with the anticipated scales
for the title code associated with specific distribution lines should be
addressed to Katina Napper in Academic Personnel at 2-5032.  

 

Questions regarding increases for individuals who received a standard
percentage increase or whose increase should have followed a specific
salary table step should be addressed to Roberta Nardico at 2-1943.
