RE:                   FY 2005-06 WORKER'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE RATES

 


 

A rate of $1.86/$100 payroll has been established to fund Worker's
Compensation costs for the Campus effective July 1, 2005.  

 

This rate has decreased 12.68% from the FY 2004-05 rate of $2.13/$100
payroll.  This decrease is primarily due to three issues: 

 

1.)                Projected savings from changes in system wide processes
in accord with SB 899  

 

2.)                Favorable loss development

 

3.)        Decrease in caseloads assigned to individual adjusters

 

Charges will continue to be handled in the same manner as in prior years.
