<p><strong>Call for applications: The 7<sup>th</sup> Annual Summer Academy on the American Political Economy (APE)</strong></p>
<p>If you are an advanced graduate student (ABD), post-doc, or junior faculty member interested in APE, we encourage you to apply to this year’s summer academy to be held<strong> at UC Berkeley, May 31 – June 4, 2026</strong>. If not, we hope you will share this call widely with other potential candidates.</p>
<p>Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to:</p>
<ol>
<li>Learn the foundations of the APE framework and its approach to central topics in political science.</li>
<li>Participate in guided discussions with leading faculty members whose research spans several key aspects of APE including race, local governance and housing, labor politics, political parties, and American political institutions.</li>
<li>Present working papers or research designs and receive feedback from senior facilitating scholars working on similar topics.</li>
<li>Join a community of other scholars interested in pursuing research on vital issues related to the American political economy.</li>
</ol>

<p>We expect to admit 16–20 participants for whom all travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be covered.</p>

<p><strong>Applicants should submit a CV, Cover Letter, and a Relevant Research Sample by Saturday, February 28 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time)</strong>.</p>
