<p>As always, the success of our series depends on wide participation. Even when a speaker’s work lies outside of our individual subfields, a strong collective presence enriches our intellectual community, fosters cross-field dialogue, and strengthens our department’s reputation.</p>
<p>We will soon circulate the itinerary for <strong>Doug Kriner’s visit</strong>, including opportunities for faculty to sign up for meetings and dinner; and for graduate students to sign up for lunch with the speakers. In addition, I will be sharing in a few days the <strong>full schedule of speakers for the entire academic year</strong>, so please be on the lookout for that.</p><p>I encourage you to attend and engage with our visitors, and I look forward to seeing many of you at these events.</p>
