for proposals for the <b>2026 Emerging Methodologists Workshop (EMW)</b>.<span></span></span></p>

<span lang="EN" style="font-size:12pt; line-height:115%; font-family:"Garamond",serif">The EMW aims to foster a new generation of methodologists in the qualitative and multi-method research community. Advanced graduate students, post-docs, and junior faculty
based at US institutions from under-represented groups who are developing a paper that focuses on methods for generating and/or analyzing qualitative data, or for multi-method research, are encouraged to submit a proposal to present their work at the EMW.
Empirical papers do not qualify for presentation at the workshop.<span></span></span></p>

for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research</span></a></span><span lang="EN" style="font-size:12pt; line-height:115%; font-family:"Garamond",serif"> (IQMR), which is held each June at Syracuse University. The EMW occupies one day of a two day “Authors Workshop”
that takes place on the weekend in the middle of IQMR’s two-week run. This year the EMW will take place on
<b>Sunday, June 21, 2026</b> at Syracuse University. <span></span></span></p>

<span lang="EN" style="font-size:12pt; line-height:115%; font-family:"Garamond",serif">The workshop covers round-trip airfare, two nights hotel stay (arranged by the EMW), and meals and refreshments during the workshop. In addition, each presenter is paired
with a mentor who helps them to develop their methodological scholarship in advance of the workshop, and continues to work with them after the workshop to prepare their research for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
